just steep.

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can
buy tea & that’s kind of the same thing.”

Tea makes me happy, and if you haven’t guessed it yet, yes, I am a tea addict. I am a regular at Starbucks, but also enjoy steeping my own cup of tea at home. David’s Tea is my go-to place to purchase loose-leaf tea, where you can find just about every flavour of tea depending on your mood. Something that I absolutely can’t stand is when people tell me they don’t like tea (IMPOSSIBLE). There are thousands of different varieties of this comforting beverage and those that say they aren’t a fan, simply haven’t given it enough of a chance.

If you are unsure of what flavour might be right for you, see below for some of my top choices.
Chai: blend of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and vanilla, among other spices. Chai is my go-to choice in the morning and always helps me start my day off just right.
Red Velvet Cake: this sweet and lightly creamy black tea blend flawlessly captures my favourite dessert in beverage form (without all the calories).
Vanilla Rooibos: rich rooibos, vanilla beans and marigolds, it’s perfectly balanced and delicately creamy. This one is caffeine-free, so it is the perfect drink before bed.

Not only does it taste amazing, but also I can always count on it to help me de-stress and put me in a better mood. Tea is my heaven in a cup, my heaven on a rainy day, and my heaven when I am at my all time low.

& if all else fails, JUST BREATHE.

  3. I am a tea drinker of the first order. I don't drink coffee at all, only black tea...I love Darjeeling and a lot of the organic fruit flavoured teas. Have you ever tried White Tea...it is very strong and the least processed of all the teas. and of course we all know the benefits of green tea. Happy tea drinking......

  5. I have just been converted to the tea drinking game and I have really grown to love it. There's a cute little tea shop in Oswego, NY where my sister goes to school that sells the best loose leaf tea. I'm excited for her to come home with my next shipment! Great blog Lexa, it's important to remember to take time for yourself!

  6. I am an avid coffee drinker, but I do also love drinking tea. I try to have at least one cup of green tea every day, and I always love trying new varieties and flavours. David's Tea is also my go-to place for buying it loose leaf. When I lived in Ottawa, there was a location not too far from my house, which was great. Nice blog Lexa!
